We are thrilled with the outcome with the service from In Search of Nanny. The Agency matched us with someone who cares for our children as we would, something we didn't feel it was possible to find."

The placement process can take from 2 weeks to 2 ½ months depending on your requirements.

  • After our personal meeting we will have a clear understanding of your requirements. We are unique among agencies, because we have personally met both parties and are therefore able to consider not only location, compensation, children's ages and working hours, but also compatibility of personality, lifestyle, child rearing philosophy and even neatness quotient which are all critical factors for a successful match.
  • We send files of only appropriate screened applicants for your consideration. As a result, we do not waste your time reviewing files that are not appropriate
  • After a second interview with an applicant of interest, you provide the applicant a copy of the job description that was developed as a result of the registration meeting. The caregiver will understand your position requirements before/if an offer is made.
  • We were left on our own by another service and received a very poor collection of candidates, but, in a matter of a few days, In Search of Nanny provided both excellent guidance and excellent candidates."

  • Agency staff reviews the terms of the offer with both parties to ensure mutual agreement
  • You prepare a written offer most often utilizing the Family/Nanny template agreement provided by the Agency
  • The caregiver works a "trial" period, usually one work week to ensure a successful match. The caregiver is paid for the "trial"
  • You and the caregiver sign the employment agreement at the end of a successful "trial"
  • You send the Agency a copy of the signed agreement and the Agency referral fee. The fee and agreement must be received by the Agency within two weeks of a caregiver's start date for the Agency guarantee to be in effect
