Applicants go through several steps before they are accepted by the Agency. First and foremost, the Agency must feel comfortable representing the applicant. With every provider, we ask ourselves, "Would we hire this applicant to care for our own children?"
- Applicant submits a detailed application
- The Agency conducts a 1½ hour personal interview with the applicant. The applicant also reads the Family Guide that is included in the Childcare Kit, and which is also read by you, before the registration meeting. This helps guarantee a consistent and mutual understanding of the relationship
- We require a minimum of three written references which are verbally checked by Agency staff. We encourage you to also check references before making an offer
- The applicant provides a medical authorization signed by their physician confirming the applicant's physical ability to perform the requirements of the position
- The Agency verifies the social security number and conducts both a driving records and criminal records check
- Each applicant must have current CPR and First Aid certification

On average, we spend more than 10 hours working on behalf of each family, and more than 8 hours working on behalf of each applicant that we subsequently place. In our efforts to maintain high quality in our providers, we interview nearly four applicants for each permanent placement we make.
Parents that work with us do not have the time and/or expertise to duplicate our professional, full-time efforts. Our sole focus is in-home childcare, and our results and testimonials clearly express our capabilities.
